How a trip to Bali changed my life
Colorful bracelets are at the heart of my label Blushing Indigo, which I founded in 2019. On a trip to Bali in 2018, I was fascinated by the selection of simple, colorful fabric bracelets. I took a handful with me for my friends, myself, and my job. At the time, I was working for another jewelry label and was able to test the colorful tassel bracelets directly in the store.
Everything sold out in a flash, and I decided to start my own label. The name is no coincidence: my favorite colors—blush rose and indigo blue—reflect the vibrancy of my creations.
During my second trip to Bali in 2019, I developed my first collection and met Budhi. To this day, he runs my production in Bali together with his wife Weni and daughter Dinda. In the meantime, Sigit and his wife Asire have also joined. Everyone does a great job and I am so glad that I found them.
Your own shop premises
In the summer of 2021, I fulfilled my dream of having my own retail space. After a four-month construction phase, Blushing Indigo now has a beautiful new home in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg, housing my spacious office along with a studio and eat-in kitchen. After all, that’s where the best parties always happen.
Lovingly handmade
Each bracelet is lovingly handcrafted on-site. It was important to me that the bracelets are not created through anonymous mass production, but instead remain individual and special from design to production.
